Michael Schlederer


On graduating from university, Michael began his accounting career in a boutique accounting practice working with small, growing businesses where, he gained a depth of knowledge and breadth of experience exceeding those of his peers at larger firms.

Michael went on to gain hands-on experience working as the finance manager for a top-50 ASX listed company. In this role, he not only looked after the day-to-day accounting but also prepared General Purpose Financial Reports amongst other announcements for release to market.

Michael moved into the corporate finance team in which he further developed his financial modelling skills to determine business investment decisions, stressing the importance of cash flow for a business.

Returning to public accounting, Michael focused on the needs of entrepreneurs, growing businesses and investors and was able to offer new ideas and support new technologies which helped to drive his clients for growth.

Joining DFK Richard Hill in 2012, Michael continues to provide business, accounting and tax advice to his clients to help them grow and build wealth in the ever challenging economy. He believes in taking the time to understand the unique circumstances of each of his clients allowing him to offer solutions appropriate to every unique situation.

Michael holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce (BCom), is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (CA) and is a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Taxation Institute of Australia (TIA). He is currently studying towards a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance with the Governance Institute of Australia.
